Issue:
On certain vehicles, the brake pedal assembly may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the brake pedal could move and cause you not to be able to apply the brakes properly, or to apply the brakes unexpectedly. This could also cause the brake lights to turn on without pressing the brake pedal.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking and/or braking unexpectedly could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, brake lights that turn on without the brake pedal being pressed could cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking or not braking and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake pedal assembly.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the third-row passenger-side seat belt may not have been routed correctly and could be trapped behind an interior panel. As a result, the seat belt can't be used.
Safety Risk:
Not wearing a seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, Honda advises that if the seat belt can't be latched, you shouldn't transport a passenger in the third-row passenger-side seat until the recall repairs are completed. Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the routing of the seat belt.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, a software problem in the fuel injection electronic control unit could cause the engine to stall while driving.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the fuel injection electronic control unit software.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the fuel filler pipe may not have been connected properly to the filler neck. As a result, the connection could separate in a crash, and fuel could leak.
Safety Risk:
A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Honda will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, reposition the fuel filler pipe.
